If you’re more man than ape then La Foret rather than La Mer is more suited to your game. Sharing the same super clubhouse as its sister course, the first tee is just a sand wedge from the bar and is a fine parkland and forest course with some beautiful holes. The front nine is good, the back nine is terrific and is where the course really develops its character. Combined with La Mer, the nine-hole Par 35 Le Manoir course, the clubhouse and the always excellent Golf Hotel Le Manoir, it helps make Le Touquet the best golf-hotel complex between London and Paris.
