Under new ownership and management, Kempferhof has reached its potential and is now one of the most accomplished small golf hotels in France. Not only does it have a superb golf course but the bedrooms in the chateau have more finesse than before, and the 16 bedrooms in the annexe have been remodelled to provide more practical comforts than the somewhat stark design before. For special occasions, take one of the larger bedrooms in the chateau; for your own terrace overlooking the island 7th green, the annexe bedrooms provide the answer.
The restaurant at Kempferhof has always been good and now it’s open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. You probably won’t want to dine out – particularly if you’re supping on the terrace overlooking the 18th – but the nearby village of Plobsheim offers several restaurants of which two are favoured by Michelin and the region has long been famous for its cuisine.
Come to Kemperhof for a golf-intense stay at the Robert von Hagge golf course or treat it as a part of a two- or three-centre tour with stays in Baden-Baden and/or Champagne
