Good enough to host the Alps Tour on a regular basis, the par 71 6977 yard course of Tecina was designed by the much-respected Donald Steel and is rated among the Top 40 courses in Spain and in the Top 3 (along with Abama and Anfi Tauro) in the Canary Islands. All 18 holes face the sea and work steadily closer to the Atlantic as the round progresses. Generous off the tee (except for a couple of “do or die” holes), there aren’t that many bunkers too so it’s a great course to build your confidence whilst enjoying the world-class views. Quite easy to walk, Tecina is well-maintained and, along with the adjacent Jardin Tecina hotel, is featured in Europe’s Top 100 golf resorts. There’s also a fine training Academy should you want to use your holiday as a great excuse to discover the game or to surprise your golfing chums when you get back home
