Designed by the amazing duo of Trent Jones Snr and Kyle Phillps for a “without budget” Asian businessman who disappeared from view during the economic crisisChateau de la Chouette is super course at fantastic value.  The maintenance is not as fastidious as the other courses in the region but there is no doubting the quality of the layout and the greens.   You’ve got a mix of tight and wide fairways, plenty of “do or die” approaches and a beautiful countryside location.   Be ready for a couple of very steep climbs around the turn.   The chateau clubhouse serves simple food.   All-in-all, a super day’s golf for the cost that would put most courses to shame.
