Sporting a fresh look after external and internal refurbishment started in June 2019 and finishing in the summer of 2020 in time for the Women’s British Open in August, The Marine Hotel has always offered a warm welcome and cosy comforts but will now do so in modern style!

Some of the 89 bedrooms overlook Royal Troon Golf Club and a few are small singles so are ideal to keep that single room supplement as low as possible. There’s a spa with indoor pool and sauna just in case the Ayrshire weather isn’t at its friendliest and the panoramic Truin restaurant serves hearty food – from the generous breakfast to classic golfers’ dishes in the evening.

Just a leisurely walk from the town where there’s a good choice of restaurants, The Marine Hotel is surrounded by great golf courses – there’s Royal Troon (and its very respectable second course “Portland”) of course, Turnberry Ailsa and Robert The Bruce, and three two favourites of the “best of the rest” are Dundonald, Glasgow Gailes and Western Gailes. Glorious world-class links everywhere!

Glasgow Airport is just 45 minutes away and Prestwick Airport is literally just down the road from Troon.
